Donna Booker, Dental Assistant
21 years in dentistry, 11 years with Shallowford Smiles
Donna graduated from Brainerd High school in 1990 and went on to graduate from the Dental Assistant Program at Chattanooga State Community College in 1995. While in school, Donna received the Proctor and Gamble Prevention in Oral Health Award and was on the dean’s list. She is certified in radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing, and CPR. She served on the Advisory Committee at Chattanooga State for 3 years.
Donna enjoys working and interacting with patients. To her, communicating the importance of maintaining good Oral Health and having a wonderful smile make her job worthwhile.
Donna is a big 80’s fan. She loves watching old 80’s movies and listening to 80’s music. She also enjoys working out and spending time with her daughter and her granddaughters.
Erica Bone, Registered Dental Assistant
8 years in dentistry, 4 years with Shallowford Smiles
Erica graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. She has certifications in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Radiology, Sealant Application, Coronal Polishing, and CPR. Working at Shallowford Smiles has taught her the real meaning of team work. She thinks Dr. Brian Wilkinson is awesome and appreciates her great team members. She couldn’t ask for a better place to work! She loves meeting new patients, making them feel comfortable, and helping them meet their dental goals.
Erica is proud of her smart, energetic 9 year old daughter, Chloe. She enjoys movies, dining out, and shopping. Family time is her favorite past time!
Melanie Condra, Dental Assistant
18 years in dentistry, 1 year with Shallowford Smiles
Melanie attended Chattanooga State Community College for prerequisite study and is certified as a Dental Assistant through the State of Tennessee. She has certifications in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Radiology, In-Office Crown Fabrication, Dental Office Business Management, and CPR. She has also received training through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for the treatment of Sleep Apnea.
Melanie is married and has three daughters. She is originally from Savannah, GA. In her free time she likes to play with her family dog, scuba dive, hike, metal detect for treasures, and cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Wendy Stone, Registered Dental Hygienist
20 years in dentistry, 4 years with Shallowford Smiles
Wendy obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Chattanooga State in 2000, and her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from East Tennessee State University in 2010. She is registered to practice dental hygiene in Tennessee and Georgia, and she can legally administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation.
Outside of work, Wendy and her husband, Kevin, raise alpacas and chickens on their farm with their son, Maddox. They sell the yarn made from the alpaca fleece, and Wendy hand spins and dyes yarn to crochet hats and scarves.
Sarah Banks, Dental Hygienist
10 years in dentistry, 3 1/2 years with Shallowford Smiles
Sarah joined our team in October 2014. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she obtained the prerequisite coursework for dental hygiene. She then went on to graduate with honors from Chattanooga State Technical Community College in 2010 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. While in school, she was presented with the Academic Excellence Award and the Above and Beyond Award for her time spent working as president of the 2010 graduating class.
Sarah is licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee. She is certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Administration. She works to provide an enjoyable experience for her patients, while delivering an appointment free of discomfort.
In her free time, Sarah likes to spend time with her family and fur-babies, Domino and Dixie. Her other hobbies include cheering on the Tennessee Vols, playing cards/board games, and reading. She is also an American Red Cross Instructor for Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid.
Josie Holmun, Registered Dental Assistant, Patient Coordinator
20 years in dentistry, 2 years with Shallowford Smiles
In late 2017, Josie transitioned into the Patient Coordinator position at Shallowford Smiles. Usually, you can find her in the front office helping patients and managing restoration appointments. Josie loves witnessing how a patient’s smile restoration—or makeover!—can transform their life. The relationships she has built with patients over the years are special to her. To serve her patients better, she pursues continuing education classes, enabling her to stay up to date on new materials and techniques in dental assisting.
Her pastimes include tennis, bowling, knitting and time spent with family and friends. She also loves going to Lookout Games!
Sierra Cagle, Registered Dental Assistant, Hygiene Coordinator
6 years in dentistry, 5 years with Shallowford Smiles
In addition to her Dental Assisting certification, Sierra has several expanded duty certifications including: radiology, monitoring nitrous oxide, applying sealants, coronal polishing, and CPR. She prides herself on taking the initiative to ensure that each patient is treated with the utmost respect and care. It is her goal to make sure their visit is nothing but pleasant. She is committed to performing her duties to change patients’ lives, one smile at a time.
Outside of the office, Sierra is big into the outdoors. She spends her free time hunting and fishing. She also enjoys spending time with her family and bicycling in downtown Chattanooga.
Jennifer Cook, Registered Dental Assistant, New Patient Coordinator
7 years in dentistry, 1 year with Shallowford Smiles
Jennifer likes making others feel good about themselves and nurturing a good, happy environment for patients at our practice. Her additional certifications include radiology, placing sealants, monitoring nitrous oxide, CPR, and first aid.
At home, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband and 2 boys, Sawyer and Noah. The family enjoys being outside and spending their summers on the lake.
